SHANJIXIANGwasborninBeijingin1954.HereceivedhisdoctoratedegreeinUrbanPlanningandDesignfromtheSchoolofArchitecture,TsinghuaUniversity,andstudiedinJapanfrom1980to1984.AfterhisreturntoChina,Dr.ShanheldseveralpostssuchasdeputydirectorofBeijingMunicipalAdministrationofCityPlanning,directorofBeijingMunicipalAdministrationofCulturalHeritage,directorofBeijingMunicipalCommissionofUrbanPlanning,anddirectoroftheStateAdministrationofCulturalHeritage.SinceJanuaryof2002,Dr.ShanhastakenuppositionsofdirectorofthePalaceMuseum,researcherofthePalaceMuseum,directorofChinaCulturalRelicsAcademy,andvicechairmanofChinaBuildingDecorationAssociation.
CHENLIHUAwasborninDalian,LiaoningProvincein1953.AftergraduatingfromtheDepartmentofHistoryatLiaoningUniversity,Ms.ChenhasservedsuccessivelyinLushunMuseumandthePalaceMuseum.Herexpertiseincludesthestudyandauthenticationoflacquerwareandenamelware.SheservedasdeputydirectorofthePalaceMuseum.NowshwistakinguppositionsofresearchfellowofthePalaceMuseum,memberoftheAcademicCommitteeofthePalaceMuseum,directorofInstitutefortheStudyofMingandQingCraftsmanshipofthePalaceMuseumResearchInstitute,andthechairpersonoftheProfessionalCommitteeofLacquerWareandEnamelWare,ChinaCulturalRelicsAcademy.
LIUYUEwasborninBeijingin1975.Hegraduatedandreceivedhisbachelor’sdegreefromtheCentralAcademyofArtsandDesignknownastheAcademyofArtsandDesign,TsinghuaUniversitynow.Since1998,Mr.LiuhasservedinthePalaceMuseumandheisnowtheassociateresearcherthere.HisresearchinterestscoverthehistoryofcraftsintheMingandQingdynastiesandrelatedareas,withafocusonthecraftsofbambooandwoodcarving,ivoryandhorncarving,etc.
