汉代的装饰充分展现了不同文化的流动与融合。比如,汉代墓葬建筑中的“罗马柱”在设计理念方面与今天国内的欧式风格建筑、室内装修有异曲同工之妙。早在汉代,西方的建筑装饰与造物理念就已经被引入中国,并成为墓葬建筑中的有机组成部分,与当时人们的生死观密切关联。今天的欧式装修则与人们所推崇的生活方式和理念息息相关。再比如,当我们看到紫禁城中许多宫殿里的蟠龙藻井时,可能不会想到这种象征权力并富于装饰性的结构可以追溯到近两千年前的汉代墓葬建筑中的藻井,而汉代的墓葬藻井又源于当时与西方的石构建筑工艺交流。在丝绸之路的视野下,汉代的装饰工艺研究变得极具吸引力。这些装饰承载了流动的思想与技艺,展现了汉代工匠兼容并蓄的能力。当我们深入挖掘这些思想与技艺的流动机制时,会看到一部由装饰写就的物质文化传记。

陈轩,现任北京大学艺术学院研究员,主要研究方向为汉代墓葬美术与中外物质文化交流。2014年获英国牛津大学考古学博士学位,师从杰西卡·罗森(Jessica Rawson)教授。曾任故宫博物院副研究馆员。目前已出版英文专著一部(Eastern Han Tombs in Sichuan, Oxford: Archaeopress, 2015),并在《考古》《文艺研究》《故宫博物院院刊》World Archaeology等中英文学术期刊上发表论文30余篇。
