The graphic novel of King Gesar is adapted from the epic Gesar. A Tibetan equivalent of Odyssey， the ancient epic remains a living oral literature and has been inscribed in 2009 (4.COM) on UNESCO‘s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The 10-volume series The Legend of King Gesar tells of Gesar’s birth， his early years and love stories， and his fight against malevolent forces. Born to be a hero， Gesar has been sent down to the human world to conquer monsters and liberate the people， but he is framed by his uncle and sent into exile.

降边嘉措，主要从事藏族英雄史诗《格萨尔》和藏族当代文学的研究和翻译工作。中国社会科学院研究生院民族文学系博士生导师。
吴伟，曾任国务院新闻办三局副局长、中国图书进出口总公司党委书记兼副总经理。
金永彪，图书、动漫策划人，曾任记者、专职文学作品翻译，文学杂志编辑、图书策划编辑，出版社副社长、副总编辑。
权迎升，当代艺术家，中国美术家协会会员，从事漫画、动画、水墨、禅画创作已20余年。漫画及水墨艺术作品曾多次荣获国际大奖。曾参加中央台52集《西游记》等大型动画项目的制作。
Gyanpian Gyamco is a specialist in researching and translating the Tibetan epic Gesar and Tibetan contemporary literature， and he is also a doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Ethnic Literature in the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
Wu Wei is the former Deputy Director of the Third Bureau of China’s State Council Information Office and the former Deputy General Manager of China National Publications Import and Export Corporation.
Jin Yongbiao is a book and animation planner. He has previously worked as a journalist， a full-time literary translator， an editor of a literary magazine， a book editor， and the vice president of a publishing house.
Quan Yingsheng is a contemporary artist and member of China Artists Association. He has been making comics， animations， ink works and Zen paintings for more than 20 years. His comics and ink paintings have won many awards. He was also involved in the making of 52 episodes of Journey to the West produced by CCTV， the largest television station in China.
