This code is formulated with a view to ensuring the illumination design of hydropower stations to meet the requirements of illumination function， facilitate production， work， study， living and physical and psychological health， and achieve advanced technology， cost effectiveness， energy saving， safe operation， easy maintenance and managements， and green lighting.
　　This code is applicable to the illumination design of large and mediumsized hydropower stations. For the renovated or expanded large and mediumsized hydropower stations， as well as small-sized hydropower stations， this code may be referenced.
　　This code specifies basic requirements for the illumination design of hydropower stations.
　　In addition to this code， the illumination design of hydropower stations shall also comply with the current relevant standards of China.
