As a practical platform for building such a community in the new era， the Belt and Road Initiative has won positive responses from numerous countries， including Greece， and international organizations and has attracted worldwide participation.

Tian Dewen，born in 1964 in Beijing, is a senior research fellow and Deputy Director General of the Institute of European Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences （CASS）. He also serves as a Dean and doctoral tutor of the Department of European Studies of the University of CASS. His research interests are in the fields of European politics and comparative public policy studies with major monographs including "The European Social Policy and European Integration" etc.
Prof. Tian is the winner of Special Government Allowance from the State Council of China. Currently he is also the Director of Greek Studies Center of CASS, the Vice President of China-C.EEC Think Tanks Network. and the Vice President of Chinese Association of World Ethno-National Studies.

He once was the visiting scholar of Mannheim University of Germany （2007）, Aoyama Gakuin University of Japan （2009）, Polish Institute of International Affairs （2015）, Latvian Institute of International Affairs （2017）, and Hungarian Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade（2019）.
His research areas include： Central and Eastern European Studies, China-EU Relations, Balkan Studies, European Integration and etc.
