This is a course-book addressed primarily to Chinese students who want to leam English in a real-world context and broaden their horizons with news articles originally produced，especially to students at advanced levels in college，and by extension，to others who are working in joumalism，business，foreign affairs，etc.
It has 20 units divided into 5 parts，covering a wide range of topics like current events of global concern，culture and entertainment，environment and health，science and technology from The Guardian，The New York Times，The Associated Press，Chin，a Daily，The Washin，gton Post，The Economist and so on.
