赵秉志，新中国首届刑法学博士（1988），美国杜克大学法学院访问学者（1990-1991）。现任北京师范大学刑事法律科学研究院教授、博士生导师，教育部长江学者特聘教授，北京师范大学死刑研究国际中心主任、国际反腐败教育与研究中心主任、反恐怖法治研究中心主任。兼任国际刑法学协会副主席暨中国分会主席，中国法学会常务理事暨学术委员会委员，中国刑法学研究会会长，国务院学位委员会学科评议组法学评议组成员，国家社科基金项目学科评审组专家，全国人大常委会法制工作委员会立法专家顾问，最高人民法院特邀咨询员（2013-2014），最高人民检察院专家咨询委员会委员，公安部法律顾问，司法部社区矫正工作特邀专家，教育部法学学科教学指导委员会副主任委员等。曾获得国家"做出突出贡献的博士学位获得者"（1991）、中国法学会首届"全国十大杰出青年法学家"（1995）称号，享受国务院"政府特殊津贴"（1993），入选人事部首批"百千万人才工程国家级人选"（1997）、教育部"跨世纪优秀人才培养计划"（1999）。主要研究领域为中国刑法、中国区际刑法、国际刑法、比较刑法。长期参与我国刑法的立法工作和司法解释的研拟工作。主持科研项目60余项，个人及论著获得70余项奖励。出版个人专著和文集25本，主编暨合著专业书籍300余种，发表论文800余篇。
