內容簡介:
Xinzheng Lu、Hong Guan编著的《EarthquakeDisaster Simulation of CivilInfrastructures精》简介:Based On morethan 12 years of systematic investigation onearthquake disastersimulation of civilinfrastructures, this book covers the majorresearch outcomes including anumber of novelcomputational models, high performancecomputing methods and realisticvisualization techniques for tall buildingsand urban areas, with particularemphasize oncollapse prevention and mitigation inextreme earthquakes, earthquake lossevaluation and seismic resilience. Typicalengineering applications to several tall-estbuildings in the world e.g., the 632 m tallShanghai Tower and the 528 m tall Z15Towerand selected large cities in China theBeiiing Central Business District, Xi''anCity, Taiyuan City and Tangshan City arealso introduced to demonstrate the advan- tages of the proposed computational modelsand techniques. The high-fidelity computational modeldeveloped in this book has proven to be the onlyfeasible option to date for earthquake- induced collapse simulation of supertallbuildings that are higher than 5o0 m. Moreimportantly, the proposed collapsesimulation technique has already beensuccessfully used in the design of somereal-world supertallbuildings, withsignificant savings of tens of thousands oftons of concrete and steel, whilst achievinga better seismic performance and safety. The proposed novel solution forearthquake disaster simulation of urbanareas usingnonlinear multiple degree-of- freedom MDOF model and time-historyanalysis delivers several unique advantages:1 true representation of thecharacteristic featuresof individualbuildings and ground motions; 2 realisticvisualization of earthquakescenarios, particularly dynamic shaking of buildingsduring earthquakes; 3 detailedpredictionof seismic response and losses on each storyof every building at any timeperiod. Theproposed earthquake disaster simulationtechnique has been successfullyimplementedin the seismic performance assessments andearthquake loss predictions of severalcentral cities in China. The outcomes of thesimulation as well as thefeedback from theend users are encouraging, particularly forthe government officialsandoradministration department personnel withlimited professional knowledge of earthquakeengineering. The book offers readers a systematicsolution to earthquake disaster simulationof civil infrastructures. The applicationoutcomes demonstrate a promising future ofthe proposed advanced techniques. The bookprovides a long-awaited guide for academicsandgraduate students involving in earthquakeengineering research and teachingactivities. It can also be used bystructural engineers for seismic design ofsupertall buildings.Xinzheng Lu、Hong Guan编著的《EarthquakeDisaster Simulation of CivilInfrastructures精》简介:Based On morethan 12 years of systematic investigation onearthquake disastersimulation of civilinfrastructures, this book covers the majorresearch outcomes including anumber of novelcomputational models, high performancecomputing methods and realisticvisualization techniques for tall buildingsand urban areas, with particularemphasize oncollapse prevention and mitigation inextreme earthquakes, earthquake lossevaluation and seismic resilience.
