On the eve of Liberation there was a woman name Liu Cuihua living on the western side of the village.She had married within the village to a Wang， who was the second uncle of the present production brigade leader Wang Jinheng.Unfortunately， her husband died from a sudden illness when their son was only five or six years old， and life became hard for the widow and son.As she was stiU in her twenties， she later developed a relationship with a man in the neighboring village.
Their relationship was soon discovered by the Wang family.They caught the man， tied him up and beat him mercilessly.Late in the night they dumped him into a brick—lined well behind the village to die in the water.The Wangs accused her of having breached family decency， disgracing their ancestors and bringing shame upon their descenclants.
