and the Association of Jewish Libraries Award among many
others. She is also a poet, a
teacher of writing and literature, and a reviewer of children’s
literature. She has been called the Hans Christian Andersen of
America and the Aesop of the twentieth century.
Mark Teague is the
illustrator of more than 40 picture books for young children, and
has also written and illustrated several books. Although he''s never
had formal training in art or writing, his books are well-loved by
children all over the world.
